A Photographic Workshop in Direct Seeing “We think that we look out upon the universe, when in fact it is the universe that looks in and sees us.” CK This class involves developing an understanding of sight and explores ways to express that understanding through photography. By creating images we can often say more than with words. Whether a beginner or advanced photographer, everyone can learn to see something new. In this workshop we explore ways to leave our own conventional ways of seeing behind and find what it truly astounding, what is right in front of us. Beginners will learn the basics of photography and move toward learning how to express a personal vision. Through different photographic exercises, we will find the best way to break old molds of seeing and find a direct vision.
